Ronnie Coleman Anticipates Keone Pearson's Mr. Olympia Victory in His Future

Renowned 8x Mr. Olympia champion Ronnie Coleman recently commended the reigning 212 Olympia champion.

Keone Pearson has been rapidly ascending in the bodybuilding hierarchy, garnering acclaim from enthusiasts and professionals alike. Among his admirers is the legendary Ronnie Coleman, who predicts Pearson will eventually claim a Mr. Olympia title.

Transitioning from the 212 division to the Men’s Open has been a frequent path for many bodybuilders. Coleman is confident that if Pearson opts for this leap, he will eventually secure the Mr. Olympia crown.

“He’ll win it. He will win it for sure. That’s how confident I am in him and I’m pretty sure he’s that confident in himself.”

Pearson has swiftly become a prominent figure in the bodybuilding arena. Beginning his professional journey in 2016, he initially competed in Classic Physique before switching to the 212 category. After several years, he triumphed over Shaun Clarida and emerged as a new luminary in the 212 division, clinching consecutive Olympia titles.

Will Keone Pearson Transition to Men’s Open?
Having solidified his dominance in the 212 division, Pearson’s immediate goal is to refine his physique within this category. During a recent training session with Martin Fitzwater, they explored the potential of Pearson competing in the Open division.

“I’m trying to focus on that and try to max out, not trying to go straight to the Open division. I still have a lot of improvements to make before I battle with you guys. When I get up there, I’ll be ready.”

Currently, Pearson is focused on securing a third consecutive Olympia title in 2025, foregoing other competitions to prioritize this goal.

“Just Olympia this year. I have so much travel going on this year. I won’t really have time to compete, I want to focus on creating distance in 212.”

Derek Lunsford, who won his first 212 Olympia title in 2021, made the jump to Men’s Open and later became the first bodybuilder to win Olympia titles in both divisions, claiming the 2023 Mr. Olympia crown. While Pearson aims for a similar path, he asserts that he needs more time to prepare for this significant transition. When he does make the move, it will undoubtedly captivate bodybuilding enthusiasts.
